About This Role
An international EPC contractor is seeking a Subsea Interface Engineer to manage technical interfaces across their subsea project portfolio in Kuala Lumpur. You will ensure seamless coordination between SPS, SURF, topsides, and onshore engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate technical interfaces across subsea project disciplines
- Develop and maintain interface registers, matrices, and management plans
- Facilitate interface meetings between SPS, SURF, topsides, and pipeline teams
- Track interface data exchange and ensure timely resolution of interface queries
- Identify and escalate interface risks and conflicts to project management
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on interface requirements
- Ensure interface alignment between FEED and detailed design phases
- Support project integration and system-level design reviews
Core Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of subsea engineering with interface management experience
- Broad understanding of subsea system interfaces: SPS/SURF/topsides/flowline
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multi-discipline teams
- Experience with interface management tools and processes
- Knowledge of subsea project delivery lifecycle and engineering workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on major integrated subsea projects (USD 500M+)
- Previous interface management role on EPC or operator-side projects
- Familiarity with subsea system integration testing
