About This Role
An international EPC contractor is seeking a Subsea FEED Engineer for their Kuala Lumpur office. You will support front-end engineering design activities for subsea field development projects, working from concept selection through FEED completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute FEED engineering activities for subsea field development projects
- Develop subsea system basis of design and engineering philosophies
- Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for subsea equipment
- Support concept selection and option evaluation studies
- Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams on FEED deliverables
- Participate in value engineering and design optimization workshops
- Prepare FEED documentation packages for client review and approval
- Support transition from FEED to detailed design phase
Core Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of subsea engineering with significant FEED experience
- Understanding of subsea field development lifecycle from concept to operations
- Experience with subsea equipment specification and vendor coordination
- Knowledge of DNV, API, and ISO standards relevant to subsea systems
- Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Subsea, or related Engineering field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple FEED study delivery across different field types
- Familiarity with subsea cost estimation and CAPEX/OPEX analysis
- Previous operator-side or EPC-side FEED team leadership
