About This Role
A major EPC contractor requires a Subsea Detailed Design Engineer for their SURF project team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for the detailed design engineering of subsea systems from FEED handover through fabrication and installation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed design engineering for subsea production and SURF systems
- Produce and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports
- Develop material specifications and procurement data sheets
- Support fabrication and testing activities with technical queries resolution
- Coordinate installation engineering for subsea hardware deployment
- Ensure design compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
- Manage design change requests and deviation approvals
- Support system integration testing and pre-commissioning planning
Core Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of subsea detailed design engineering experience
- Strong background in subsea hardware design and specification
- Experience delivering engineering packages through design maturity gates
- Proficiency with engineering CAD and analysis software
- Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Subsea, or Structural Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with subsea system integration and interface management
- Knowledge of subsea fabrication and testing requirements
- Previous deepwater project experience in Southeast Asia
