About This Role
A leading EPC contractor requires a Subsea Commissioning Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur with offshore deployment capability. You will plan and execute commissioning activities for subsea production systems from factory acceptance testing through to first oil.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop subsea commissioning procedures and execution strategies
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and System Integration Tests (SIT)
- Lead offshore commissioning campaigns for subsea system startup
- Coordinate with operations, installation, and engineering teams during commissioning
- Manage commissioning punch lists and ensure pre-commissioning completion
- Prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation
- Support pre-commissioning activities: flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting
- Ensure HSE compliance during all commissioning operations
Core Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of subsea commissioning experience on offshore projects
- Hands-on experience with subsea system FAT, SIT, and offshore commissioning
- Knowledge of subsea control system commissioning and SCADA integration
- Experience with pre-commissioning: flooding, pigging, hydrotesting, dewatering
- Offshore survival certification (BOSIET or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as commissioning lead on deepwater subsea projects
- Familiarity with subsea production system startup procedures
- Previous commissioning role on EPC contractor projects
