About This Role
A leading EPC contractor requires an FPSO Procurement Manager for their Kuala Lumpur office. You will lead procurement and supply chain management for FPSO projects, from strategy development through vendor management and delivery assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement strategy development and execution for FPSO project packages
- Manage procurement of major equipment: process modules, marine systems, subsea hardware
- Develop and manage vendor pre-qualification, evaluation, and selection processes
- Negotiate commercial terms, delivery schedules, and warranty provisions
- Coordinate with engineering on technical specifications and bid evaluations
- Monitor supply chain performance and manage delivery risk mitigation
- Manage procurement team and ensure compliance with project procedures
- Prepare procurement reports, cost forecasts, and variance analysis
Core Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of procurement management experience in oil and gas / offshore
- Strong background in FPSO/EPC procurement of major equipment packages
- Experience with international procurement, logistics, and supply chain management
- Knowledge of procurement best practices: competitive bidding, negotiation, contract management
- Experience managing procurement teams on large-scale projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPS or equivalent procurement professional certification
- Experience with FPSO top-side module procurement from Asian fabrication yards
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations
