About This Role
An international EPC contractor is seeking an FPSO Contract Manager for their Kuala Lumpur team. You will manage contract administration, claims, and commercial management for FPSO project contracts, ensuring commercial protection and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contract administration for FPSO project contracts (EPC, subcontracts, services)
- Review and negotiate contract terms, variations, and change orders
- Prepare and manage commercial claims and back-to-back contract arrangements
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, and project management on commercial matters
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Manage subcontractor pre-qualification and contract award processes
- Support project bidding and proposal activities with commercial expertise
- Prepare commercial reports and risk assessments for project management
Core Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of contract management experience in oil and gas / offshore
- Strong background in EPC contract administration and FIDIC or similar conditions
- Experience with claims management, variation orders, and dispute resolution
- Knowledge of FPSO/EPC contracting strategies and subcontract management
- Commercial acumen with attention to contractual risk and opportunity
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or Business
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional contract management certification (MRICS, CCM, or equivalent)
- Experience with lump-sum and reimbursable EPC contract structures
- Previous contract management on FPSO or major offshore projects
