How does IntelliS evaluate candidates?

We use a proprietary multi-dimensional assessment framework that evaluates candidates across technical expertise, project experience, leadership capability, offshore relevance, market value, availability, and growth potential. This goes far beyond CV screening — our process is designed to surface strengths and development areas that traditional recruitment misses.

Typical turnaround: 10 minutes from application to initial assessment result.

What happens after I submit my CV?

Our process follows these steps:

  • Day 1: Your CV is received and acknowledged via email
  • Day 1-2: Our assessment team evaluates your profile against current and upcoming roles
  • Day 2-3: You receive a short customised questionnaire (5-9 questions) tailored to your discipline
  • Upon reply: We complete your candidate profile and begin matching against suitable opportunities
  • If matched: We arrange an introductory video call before presenting you to any client
Do you sponsor work visas?

Visa sponsorship depends on the client and the destination country. Many of our clients in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Middle East are authorised to sponsor employment passes for qualified candidates. We guide successful candidates through the visa process and provide documentation support.

Note: Having a valid BOSIET/HUET certification significantly speeds up deployment for offshore roles.

What is your placement success rate?

Approximately 60% of candidates we present to clients receive an offer. This rate is higher for roles where we have deep discipline expertise (Subsea, SURF, FPSO) and where candidate expectations are well-aligned with role realities from the start.

Our 60-day retention rate for placed candidates exceeds 85%, reflecting our emphasis on expectation alignment rather than just filling positions.

Can I apply if I don't see a matching role listed?

Absolutely. We encourage all offshore energy professionals to submit their CV. Many of our placements come from our candidate database rather than public job listings — new requirements arise weekly, and we proactively reach out to matching candidates before roles are posted.

How quickly can you present candidates?

For standard Subsea, SURF, and FPSO roles, we typically present 3-4 shortlisted candidates within 10 minutes of receiving a requirement. For niche or senior positions, the timeline may extend to 24-48 hours for a more thorough search.

Each candidate comes with a detailed assessment profile covering technical capability, project relevance, offshore experience, and availability — not just a CV forward.

What is your fee structure?

Our fees are structured as a percentage of the placed candidate's annual salary, competitive with industry standards. We provide detailed fee schedules during the client onboarding process. There are no upfront charges — we only invoice upon successful placement.

Do you provide EOR (Employer of Record) services?

Yes, we can facilitate EOR arrangements in select markets, particularly for clients who need to deploy talent in jurisdictions where they don't have a legal entity. This includes payroll management, tax compliance, and local employment contract administration.

How do you protect candidate and client confidentiality?

Confidentiality is foundational to our practice. We do not share candidate details with any client without prior consent. Similarly, we do not disclose client identities to candidates until the appropriate stage of the process. All data is stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

What certifications or industry memberships does IntelliS hold?

IntelliS Global's Founder & CEO is an EIC Global Ambassador and was featured in EIC Energy Focus magazine's "View from the Top" cover interview series (Spring 2025). We are active participants in EIC events and maintain close relationships with industry bodies across APAC and the Middle East.
