About This Role
A conversion FPSO sits in the shipyard for months and equipment degrades if not properly preserved. We need a Preservation Engineer to design and execute a comprehensive preservation program. This is a rare specialty: if you know this work, we need you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the equipment preservation program
- Define preservation requirements for rotating equipment, electrical systems, and instruments
- Manage preservation schedules and inspection routines
- Coordinate with OEMs for vendor-recommended preservation procedures
- Track preservation status and maintain records
- Conduct regular preservation audits and condition assessments
Core Requirements
- 8+ years in offshore project preservation or maintenance engineering
- Knowledge of preservation standards (NACE, OEM guidelines)
- Experience with preservation of rotating equipment, electrical, and instrument systems
- Valid BOSIET/FOET certification
Preferred Qualifications
- FPSO conversion project preservation experience
- Knowledge of dehumidification and nitrogen blanketing systems
