About This Role
We are seeking an exceptional Project Director to lead the commissioning scope for a flagship FPSO conversion project. This is a high-visibility role responsible for the overall delivery strategy, client relationship, and team mobilization across two continents.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the commissioning project strategy and execution plan
- Manage P&L responsibility for the commissioning scope valued at USD 5M+
- Serve as the primary client interface with the operator's supply chain and project teams
- Lead bid strategy, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization
- Oversee team mobilization across yard (Dalian) and offshore (Brazil) phases
- Coordinate with OCS joint venture partners for integrated service delivery
- Drive risk management and mitigation across all project phases
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Brazilian ANP and NR requirements
Core Requirements
- 20+ years in offshore oil & gas, with FPSO commissioning leadership
- Proven track record delivering FPSO conversion/commissioning projects on time and budget
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience
- Experience with Chinese shipyard operations and cross-cultural team management
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Valid BOSIET/FOET certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BW Offshore or similar FPSO operators
- Knowledge of Brazilian regulatory framework (ANP, NR-10, NR-35)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
